tea set
Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya ’bout somethin’ called tea in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Never thought much about tea myself, always been a coffee gal, you know, the strong stuff that gets ya goin’ in the mornin’. But folks ’round here, they sure do love their tea.
Now, I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I hear tell there’s a bunch of places in Santa Fe where ya can get a good cuppa. They got these places called “tea rooms” and “tea houses.” Sounds kinda fancy, don’t it?
Seems like there’s a whole heap of ’em! “Roots and Leaves Casa de Kava”, “The St. James Tearoom”, “Turquoise Teapot and Cat Cafe”. Cat cafe? Now that’s a new one. Imagine sippin’ tea with a bunch of cats purrin’ around your feet. Kinda weird, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
There’s even a place called “Desert Mountain Tea Company” right here in Santa Fe. They say they only sell the bestest tea, somethin’ called “organically farmed” and “harvested.” Sounds like a lot of work for a cup of tea, but I guess some folks take it real serious.
Now, from what I gather, they got all sorts of different teas. Green teas, Oolong teas, Black teas, Herbal teas, and even somethin’ called Matcha. Matcha? Sounds like a wrestling move. I’ll stick to my plain ol’ black coffee, thank ya very much.
They also got these “local Santa Fe blends”. Guess that means they mix up their own special kinds of tea. Probably got some fancy names, too. Like “Desert Sunset” or “Canyon Sunrise” or somethin’. Folks ’round here sure do like to give things pretty names.
If you’re lookin’ for the best tea shop in Santa Fe, well, good luck with that. Seems like everyone’s got their own favorite. Some folks swear by ArtfulTea, others love Dragonfly Tea House, and then there’s the Santa Fe Teahouse. Me? I couldn’t tell ya. Like I said, I’m a coffee gal.
But I tell ya what, if you’re into tea, Santa Fe seems like the place to be. They got more tea places than I got chickens in my coop! And that’s sayin’ somethin’. They sell all kinds of tea, from all over the world I reckon. Fine imported teas, they call ’em.
And if you can’t make it to a tea room, you can always shop tea online, I guess. These young folks are always on their computers and phones, orderin’ everything under the sun. Heck, I even saw one of them order groceries online the other day. Groceries! Can ya believe it?
So, there ya have it. A little somethin’ about tea in Santa Fe. Like I said, I don’t know much about it, but it seems like a big deal ’round here. Maybe I’ll try a cup one of these days. But don’t hold your breath. I’m stickin’ to my coffee for now. It gets the job done, you know? Keeps me goin’ all day long. And that’s all that matters, right?
Oh, and I almost forgot. These tea folks are always on somethin’ called “social media”. I don’t know nothin’ about that, but they say it’s where all the young people are these days. So, if you’re lookin’ for more info on tea in Santa Fe, maybe try lookin’ there. Just don’t ask me how to do it. I’m too old for that newfangled stuff.
Anyways, them Desert Mountain folks, they say their teas are the best. Say it helps you stay well and calm. Guess that’s why all them city folks are always drinkin’ tea. Always stressed out about somethin’ or other. Me? I just sit on my porch, watch the birds, and drink my coffee. That’s my kind of calm.
So yeah, tea in Santa Fe. It’s a thing. A big thing, apparently. But me? I’ll stick to my coffee. It’s good, it’s strong, and it gets the job done. And that’s all that matters in this old world, ain’t it?
