Okay, let’s talk about this tea tree oil body soap thing I’ve been trying out. I saw it all over the place – you know, different brands like Nubian and Dr. Woods, and some just called “Tea Tree Oil Soap Bar.” Prices were all over the map, from like 7 bucks to 35. Crazy, right?

So, I decided to give it a shot. I grabbed a few different ones to see what the fuss was about. First off, let me tell you, the smell is strong. Like, really strong. But it’s not bad, just… intense. It’s kind of refreshing, in a way. I started using it in the shower, just like regular soap. Lathered it up and all that.

My Routine

  • First, I wet my skin with warm water. I think it helps open up the pores or something.
  • Then, I take the tea tree oil soap and rub it between my hands to get a good lather going.
  • After that, I apply the soap to my body, focusing on areas where I usually get breakouts or have some irritation. I don’t use it on my face, though, I’ve heard it can be a bit too harsh for that.
  • Next, I let the soap sit on my skin for a minute or two. I figure it gives the tea tree oil time to do its thing.
  • Finally, I rinse it all off with cool water. Feels pretty good, actually.

I’ve been doing this for a couple of weeks now, and honestly, I’m seeing some changes. My skin feels cleaner, for sure. And those annoying little bumps and redness? They seem to be calming down a bit. I wouldn’t say it’s a miracle worker, but it’s definitely doing something.

One thing I noticed is that it can be a bit drying. So, I make sure to moisturize after I shower. Otherwise, my skin feels a little tight. But overall, I’m pretty happy with this tea tree oil soap experiment. It’s a simple addition to my routine, and it seems to be making a difference. I’ll probably keep using it and see how it goes long-term. Who knows, maybe I’ll even try some of those other brands I saw.
