tea tree oil cleanser

Okay, here’s my personal experience sharing about making a tea tree oil cleanser.

So I’ve been messing around with making my own skincare stuff lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride! I wanted to whip up a tea tree oil cleanser because I heard it’s the bomb for acne-prone skin like mine.

First off, I gathered all my stuff. I grabbed some tea tree oil, of course – that’s the star of the show. Then, I got some basic face wash, the unscented kind, you know, so it doesn’t mess with the tea tree’s vibe. Oh, and I also needed a little bottle to mix it all up in. It’s clean and empty, making it ready to use.

Next, I started mixing. I poured a little bit of the face wash into the bottle, just enough to make room for the tea tree oil. Then, I carefully added a few drops of tea tree oil. I heard you gotta be careful with this stuff, it’s pretty strong. I think I put in like, 5 drops? I didn’t want to overdo it.

  • Gather the ingredients, like tea tree oil and an unscented facial wash.
  • Mix the ingredients by adding the facial wash into an empty bottle.
  • Add several drops of tea tree oil into the facial wash.
  • Shake the bottle carefully.

After that, I screwed the lid on tight and gave it a good shake. I wanted to make sure the tea tree oil was all mixed in with the face wash. It looked a little cloudy, but that’s cool. I did a patch test first. I just dabbed a little on my arm to see if my skin would freak out. Luckily, everything was chill.

Finally, I tried it out on my face. I wet my face, squeezed a little of the cleanser onto my hands, and lathered it up. It felt pretty nice, kind of tingly. I rinsed it off, and my skin felt super clean, but not, like, stripped, you know? I’ve been using it for a few days now, and I think it’s actually helping with my breakouts!

My honest feelings

Overall, I’m pretty stoked about this homemade tea tree oil cleanser. It was easy to make, it’s cheap, and it seems to be working for my skin. Plus, it’s kind of fun to play mad scientist and make your own skincare stuff, right? I need to keep using it to see the long-term effects and whether my skin condition gets better, but I hope the sharing of my process and experience could help you!
