tea tree oil thickening shampoo

Okay, so I’ve been dealing with kinda thin hair lately, and I heard about tea tree oil shampoos being good for that. I figured, why not give it a shot? I’m no expert, but I’m always up for trying new things, especially when it comes to my hair.

My Little Experiment

First things first, I gotta find a shampoo. I went to my usual drugstore. I found a few options, but I picked one that seemed pretty natural, no weird chemicals listed, you know?

The Routine:

  • I started using it every other day. I didn’t want to overdo it at the start.
  • When I used it I’d get my hair all wet, then I’d squirt a bit of the shampoo into my hand. It smelled pretty strong, like, really minty and kinda medicinal.
  • Then you work it into your scalp, really massage it in there. I’d leave it in for a couple of minutes, Let it do its thing.
  • Then I just rinsed it all out.
  • I follow up with a simple conditioner.
  • I’ve been doing this for about three weeks.

It took a couple of weeks to start noticing any difference. It wasn’t like, BAM, instant thick hair, but after the second week, my hair felt… cleaner, I guess? And maybe, like, a tiny bit fuller when I styled it. It felt like my scalp was less oily, too, which is a plus. I used to get that greasy feeling by the end of the day, but that’s been better. So, the last week, I definitely see some improvement.

It is not a miracle cure. But it did seem to help a bit. I’m gonna keep using it and see if it gets even better over time.
