tea set
Well, let me tell ya ’bout this tea white stuff. I ain’t no fancy pants expert, but I know a thing or two ’bout what’s good for ya and what ain’t.
First off, they say it’s made from them young leaves, you know, the little fellers on the tea plant. The Camellia sinensis plant, they call it. Sounds all highfalutin, but it’s just a plant, like them tomatoes I grow in my garden. Only this one makes tea, not no tomatoes.
Now, this white tea, it ain’t like that black tea my husband used to drink. That stuff was strong enough to knock ya flat! And it ain’t like that green tea neither. This white tea, it’s kinda… delicate, ya know? Like a newborn baby, gotta treat it gentle.
This makes it healthier, they say. I don’t know ’bout all that science stuff, but I figure if it ain’t got all them chemicals and whatnots, it’s gotta be better for ya, right? Like eatin’ a fresh apple ‘stead of one of them store-bought pies.
I heard tell it’s got them antioxidants in it. Sounds fancy, but I reckon it means it helps keep ya from gettin’ old and creaky. Lord knows I need all the help I can get in that department! My knees ain’t what they used to be, let me tell ya.
Now, makin’ this tea ain’t rocket science. Just boil some water, but not too hot, mind ya. Then you put them little leaves in a cup and pour the water over ’em. Let it sit for a bit, like when you’re steeping herbs for a cough. Then you drink it. It ain’t got that real strong taste, but it’s kinda… pleasant. A little sweet, maybe. Like a summer breeze.
Some folks say it helps ya lose weight. Well, I ain’t seen no miracles yet, but I figure every little bit helps. Can’t hurt, right? Long as you ain’t eatin’ a whole cake with it, I suppose.
And they say it’s good for your heart. That’s important, ‘cause my old man, bless his soul, he had a bad heart. Maybe if he’d drunk this tea white instead of all that strong black stuff, he’d still be around. Who knows?
It’s supposed to be good for your skin too. Makes ya look younger, they say. Well, I ain’t holdin’ my breath on that one. I’m too old for miracles, but if it makes me feel a little bit better, that’s good enough for me.
White tea is kinda expensive, though. Not like that cheap tea you get at the store. But I figure, it’s worth it if it keeps ya healthy. You can’t put a price on your health, that’s what I always say.
Some folks, they like to add things to their tea. Like lemon or honey. Me? I like it plain. Just the tea and the water. That’s all ya need, really.
So, that’s the long and short of it. This tea white, it’s a good drink. It’s healthy, it tastes good, and it might even make ya look a little bit younger. I ain’t makin’ no promises, mind ya. But it’s worth a try, don’t ya think? I mean it ain’t gonna hurt ya none. And who knows, maybe it’ll be just the thing ya need to feel a little bit better.
Now, I gotta go and water my tomatoes. Them little fellers need tendin’ to, just like them tea leaves. And that’s the truth of it.
