teavana oolong

So, I’ve been trying out this Teavana Oolong tea lately. Yeah, you know, the one they used to sell at those fancy tea shops that all closed down? Well, I found it online and figured, why not give it a go?

First off, I had to order the stuff. It was pretty straightforward, just a few clicks and it was on its way. When the package arrived, I was pretty stoked. I ripped open the box and there it was, a nice, sealed bag of oolong tea leaves. They looked pretty good, all tightly rolled up, like little green pearls.

Next, I grabbed my trusty teapot and filled it with some water. While that was heating up, I scooped a couple of teaspoons of the tea leaves into my infuser. I usually eyeball it; I’m not too precise with my tea.

Once the water was hot but not quite boiling, you know that sweet spot around 195 degrees Fahrenheit or so? I don’t use a thermometer or anything, I just go by feel, I poured it over the tea leaves in the infuser. Then I just let it sit there and steep for a few minutes. I like my oolong a bit strong, so I usually go for about four or five minutes.

  • Pour hot water over the tea leaves.
  • Steep for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Enjoy.

After that, I pulled out the infuser, poured the tea into my favorite mug, and took a big whiff. It smelled really nice, kind of floral and a little bit toasty.

Finally, it was time for the taste test. I took a sip, and man, it was smooth. It had that classic oolong taste, kind of earthy but also a little sweet. It wasn’t bitter at all, which is always a good sign. I ended up drinking the whole pot.

Overall, I’d say this Teavana Oolong is a winner. It’s a solid tea, and it definitely hit the spot. If you’re into oolongs, I’d say give it a try. You might just like it.
