Okay, so, let’s talk about Tetley tea bags. I’ve been drinking this stuff for a while now, and I just had to share my little routine with you guys.

First, I got my hands on a box of Tetley. They’re pretty easy to find, just about any grocery store has them. I went for the Classic Black Tea, the one in the red box. I think it was about 5 bucks, maybe a bit less, for a box of 72 bags. They also have a decaffeinated version, which I tried once, it’s not bad if you’re trying to cut down on caffeine.

I grabbed a mug from my cupboard and popped a tea bag in. Boiled some water in my kettle. While waiting, I sometimes read the box, it’s got all this stuff about the Rainforest Alliance, which I guess is good.

• Pour the hot water over the tea bag.
• Let it steep for a few minutes. I like mine strong, so I usually leave it in for like 4-5 minutes. You can adjust this to how strong or weak you want it.
• Remove the tea bag. I usually just fish it out with a spoon and toss it in the trash.

Now, you can drink it just like that, but sometimes I add stuff. A bit of sugar, sometimes a splash of milk, depends on my mood. If it’s summer, I might even pour it over ice for an iced tea. It is tasty that way too. I know some people use this tea to make other drinks and even cook with it, but I just drink it the normal way.

There are also green tea and other flavors, but I like the black tea the best. I heard that it is more expensive because of all the processing of the leaves and stuff, but I am not sure about that. The box says it was made from the finest black tea, so it must be good, right? They are a really old company from England or somewhere in the UK and are one of the biggest tea makers in the world, so they must know what they are doing.

Anyways, that’s pretty much it. It’s a simple thing, but it’s a nice little part of my day. It is a decent tea for a good price, I guess.
