Okay, so I’ve been meaning to check out this place, the Tea House in White River, for ages. Everyone’s been raving about it, so I finally made it happen. Here’s how it all went down.

Getting There and First Impressions

First off, finding the place was pretty straightforward. I just popped the name into my phone’s map, and it took me right there. No getting lost in the boonies, which is always a plus. When I pulled up, I was immediately struck by how cute the place is. It’s this charming little building, kinda rustic looking, with a really welcoming vibe.

Stepping Inside

I walked in, and the first thing that hit me was the smell – a mix of freshly brewed tea and something sweet baking. Seriously, my stomach started rumbling right away. The inside is just as cozy as the outside. They’ve got these mismatched tables and chairs, and it all feels very homey. It’s that kind of place you want to bring your own dairy free milk and order a nice cup of tea.

The Tea Selection

Now, onto the important stuff – the tea! They have a huge menu, like, seriously overwhelming at first. Black teas, green teas, herbal teas, rooibos… you name it, they’ve probably got it. I’m a big fan of Earl Grey, but I decided to be adventurous and try something new. I asked the lady behind the counter for a recommendation, and she suggested a white river tea.

The Experience

  • I found a cozy little table by the window and settled in.
  • The waitress brought over my tea in this adorable little pot with a cute, mismatched cup and saucer. It felt very… proper.
  • I took a sip, and… wow. It was light, a little bit fruity, and super refreshing. Seriously, I could have easily sat there all afternoon, just sipping tea and people-watching.

Food, treats, and a must-visit spot.

I also grabbed one of their scones – they had a whole bunch of pastries and baked goods that looked amazing. The scone was warm, fluffy, and perfect with a little bit of jam. I didn’t explore all of the food options, but my focus was on the tea!

I did notice they had cute tea pots, tea cups, and tea selections for sale.

All in all, I totally get the hype around the Tea House now. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a good cup of tea, and just relax. I’m already planning my next visit – and this time, I’m bringing a friend!
