Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Trader Joe’s Oolong tea. I ain’t no fancy tea expert or nothin’, but I know what I like, and this here tea, it’s somethin’ else.

First off, they call it “Golden Oolong,” and I reckon that’s a fair name. The tea itself, it’s got this pretty golden color, you know? Like sunshine in a cup, almost. And the taste? Well, it ain’t bitter like some teas I’ve tried. It’s kinda…flowery, but not too much. And there’s somethin’ else in there, kinda earthy, like the smell after a good rain. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s good, real good.

Now, I heard tell that this tea’s got somethin’ called “caffeine” in it. They say it gives you a little pep in your step, you know? Wakes you up a bit. And I gotta say, I think they’re right. I drink a cup of this in the mornin’, and I feel like I can get through a whole day of chores without feelin’ too tired. It ain’t like coffee, though, which makes me all jittery and whatnot. This tea, it’s a smoother kind of energy, if that makes any sense.

And get this, they also say it’s good for ya! Can you believe it? Somethin’ that tastes good AND is good for ya? Seems too good to be true, but that’s what they say. Somethin’ about keepin’ your teeth healthy and givin’ you vitamins. I ain’t no doctor, so I can’t say for sure, but it makes me feel good, and that’s enough for me.

I like to drink it hot, you know, when it’s steamin’ and warms you up from the inside out. But sometimes, when it’s hot outside, I’ll let it cool down and drink it with some ice. Tastes good either way, I tell ya. And I don’t put no sugar or nothin’ in it. It’s sweet enough all on its own, least that’s what I think.

How I Make My Tea

  • First, I boil some water in my kettle. You know, the one with the whistle that screeches like a banshee when it’s ready.
  • Then, I put one of them little tea bags in a cup. Trader Joe’s, they make it easy for ya, puttin’ the tea in them little bags.
  • Pour the hot water over the tea bag and let it sit for a bit. How long? Well, that depends. If I want it strong, I let it sit longer. If I want it weaker, I take the bag out sooner. It ain’t rocket science, you know?
  • Then, I take the bag out and drink it. Simple as that.

Now, I heard tell they got other kinds of tea too, like that white tea with somethin’ called “pomegranate.” Fancy stuff, I tell ya. But I ain’t tried it yet. I’m happy with my Golden Oolong. It’s my go-to tea, the one I drink every day. And let me tell ya, it’s a whole lot better than that weak tea they used to serve at the church social. Remember that stuff? Tasted like dishwater!

So, if you’re lookin’ for a good tea, somethin’ that tastes good and makes you feel good, I reckon you should give this Trader Joe’s Oolong a try. You might just like it as much as I do. And that’s sayin’ somethin’, ’cause I’m a picky old woman when it comes to my tea.

It’s strong, stronger than that green tea and that black tea, but it don’t make your stomach all jumpy. They say it’s got somethin’ called “catechins” in it, whatever those are. Sounds fancy, but all I know is it makes me feel good and that’s enough for me. Keeps my teeth from fallin’ out too, so they say.

Anyhow, I’m gonna go make myself another cup. All this talkin’ about tea has made me thirsty. You go on and try it for yourself. You won’t be sorry.
