Okay, so, I wanted to try making this tropical green tea thing I saw online. Figured it would be a nice, refreshing drink for the summer. It’s supposed to be pretty simple, just green tea with some fruit and stuff, so I thought, why not?
First off, I gathered all the ingredients. I already had some green tea bags at home. Then I went to the store and picked up some pineapple chunks, a mango, and a lime. I think you can use other fruits too, but this is what the recipe I found called for. Also grabbed some honey ’cause I like my tea a little sweet.
Brewing the tea was the first actual step. I boiled some water and steeped two green tea bags for about, like, 5 minutes? I don’t like it too strong. While that was happening, I chopped up the mango into little pieces. I used canned pineapple, so that was already in chunks.
Once the tea was done, I took out the tea bags and stirred in a bit of honey. Just a spoonful, ’cause I didn’t want it to be, you know, overly sweet and mess up the fruity flavors. Then I added the pineapple chunks and the mango pieces into the hot tea. Squeezed half a lime in there too, for some extra tanginess. It smelled pretty good at this point, all fruity and fresh.
After that, I just let it cool down for a bit. I was impatient, so I stuck it in the fridge to speed things up. Maybe waited, like, an hour? I wanted it to be nice and cold.
So, that’s my little adventure with making tropical green tea. It was easy, it was tasty, and it’s a nice drink to have on a hot day. Give it a try if you’re looking for something different!
