Alright, let’s gab about this here high tea set thing, ya know? I ain’t no fancy pants, but I know a thing or two about havin’ a cuppa.

First off, what in tarnation is a high tea set anyways? Well, from what I gather, it’s a bunch of them pretty cups and saucers, and a teapot, maybe a little sugar bowl and a creamer thingy. All matchy-matchy, ya know? Like them old ladies in the movies use. Fancy, I tell ya, real fancy.

Now, where do ya get these things? Well, seems like you can get ’em pretty much anywhere these days. I hear tell there’s this “Amazon” place, folks say they got everything under the sun, tea sets too, I reckon. Thousands of ’em, they say! Can ya believe it? And they even bring it right to your door, ain’t that somethin’? No need to go traipsin’ all over town.

Then there’s this “Wayfair” place, someone was yappin’ about. Says they got good deals on tea sets, and free shippin’ too. Free shippin’, now that’s somethin’ I can get behind. Saves ya a few pennies, ya know?

But what kinda tea set should ya get? Well, that depends on what you’re lookin’ for, I guess. Some folks like them fancy ones, made outta that thin china stuff. Pretty, but I bet they break easy. I’d rather have somethin’ sturdy, somethin’ that can take a bump or two. You know, like them thick glasses they use at the diner, those can take a beating.

• The Look: You got your plain ones, your flowery ones, your ones with all them gold squiggly lines. Me, I like somethin’ simple. Too much fuss and feathers, and it just looks cluttered to me. But hey, to each their own, right?
• The Size: How many folks ya plannin’ on havin’ over for tea? Just you and the missus? Or the whole darn family? Gotta make sure ya got enough cups to go around, ain’t that right?
• The Price: Now, this is important. You don’t wanna go breakin’ the bank on a tea set, unless you got money to burn, I guess. You can find ’em cheap, you can find ’em expensive. Just gotta figure out how much you’re willin’ to spend.

Some folks are all gaga over them “blooming teas.” Never heard of such a thing myself. Apparently, the tea leaves open up like flowers when ya put ’em in hot water. Sounds pretty, I guess, but does it taste any good? That’s what I wanna know. And you need a special kinda tea set for that, see-through so you can watch the flower open up, they say it made from thick glass, must be strong enough.

Then there’s talk of “luxury tea sets”. Luxury, huh? Sounds expensive. English ones, Japan ones, porcelain ones… so many choices it makes my head spin. I reckon them fancy folks got more money than sense. Give me a good ol’ cuppa in a regular mug any day.

But I tell ya what, if you’re gonna buy one of these high tea sets, doin’ it online is the way to go. No need to go wanderin’ around the stores, wastin’ gas and time. Just sit yourself down at the computer, click a few buttons, and there ya go. Tea set on its way. Easy peasy. Just make sure you’re buying from a good place, you don’t want to get cheated.

And don’t forget the tea itself! Gotta have good tea to go with your fancy tea set. I like mine strong and black, but you can get all sorts of flavors these days. Fruity ones, spicy ones, even chocolate ones! Can ya imagine? The world’s gone crazy, I tell ya.

So, there ya have it. My two cents on high tea sets. Not that I know much, mind you. I’m just a simple person, but I do enjoy a good cup of tea, no matter what kinda cup it comes in.
