This here, this flower, it’s a white rose, they call it, uh, hybrid tea rose. Pretty thing, ain’t it? Like that girl, what’s her name, the one married to the Smith boy…Annapurna? Yeah, like that Annapurna rose. That French fella, Mr. Doo-ree-something, he made that one.

These white hybrid tea roses, they’re a bit fussy, I tell ya. They want sun, lots of it. But not too much wind, mind you. Like an old woman, they don’t like a draft! And don’t go sticking them in the shade, they won’t like that one bit. They like their feet dry, too. No soggy bottoms for these roses!

Folks, they like these roses for weddin’s and when a new baby comes along. Says they mean, uh, pure and somethin’ new. I reckon that’s nice. A new beginning, like when you turn over the dirt in spring. And those little babies, pure as the driven snow, ain’t they?

Now, you gotta feed these white hybrid tea roses good. They eat like a horse, I swear. Water ’em regular, like you water your pumpkins, if you want ’em to be big and strong. And give ’em that fertilizer stuff. They love that. They’re hungry, these roses, always hungry, if you want them to do you proud!

  • Need sun, lots of it.
  • No wind, if you can help it.
  • Dry feet, no wet soil.
  • Feed ’em good, like a prize hog.
  • Water ’em regular, like your garden.

These white hybrid tea roses, they’re kinda like people. Some are tough, some ain’t. These ones, they need a little help, but they’re worth it. They’re real pretty. Like a bride on her weddin’ day, all dressed in white.

I remember when my Bessie got married, she had these white roses. Looked just like an angel, she did. These roses, they bring back memories, they do. Good memories.

So, you plant these white hybrid tea roses, you gotta take care of ’em. They ain’t like them wild roses that grow down by the creek. These ones need you. But if you treat ’em right, they’ll make you happy. They will. They’re a sight for sore eyes, they are.

Now, I ain’t no fancy gardener, mind ya. Just an old woman who likes pretty things. But I know a thing or two about roses. My mama, she taught me. And her mama before her. It’s in the blood, I reckon.

I always say, if you’re gonna grow somethin’, grow somethin’ pretty. And these white hybrid tea roses, they’re about as pretty as they come. They’re like little clouds, ain’t they? Soft and white.

  • They’re like a bride’s dress, all white and pure.
  • Good for weddin’s and new babies.
  • They need a lot of care, but it’s worth it.

You know, they say roses got thorns. These do too. Gotta be careful. But even with the thorns, they’re still beautiful. Just like life, I reckon. Good and bad, all mixed up together.

If you got a little patch of land, and a little bit of time, you should try growin’ these white hybrid tea roses. They’ll brighten up your day, they will. Just remember what I told ya. Sun, dry feet, and lots of food. And don’t forget the water!

And when they bloom, all big and white, you’ll be proud. You will. You’ll say, “I grew that.” And that’s a good feelin’. A real good feelin’.

So there you have it. That’s all I know about these white hybrid tea roses. Not much, maybe, but it’s honest. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it? In this world, a little bit of honest is worth a whole lot of fancy.

These hybrid tea roses remind me of the simple things, the good things. Like a warm summer day, or a kind word. Or a baby’s smile. They are like a piece of heaven, right here on earth. Don’t you think?
