black tea
Okay, so yesterday I was browsing the grocery aisles, and something caught my eye. It was this box of tea, Celestial Seasonings White Pear Tea. The packaging looked nice, and I thought, “Why not give it a try?” I’m a bit of a tea fanatic, always on the lookout for new flavors, so I tossed it into my cart.
This morning, I finally got around to brewing a cup. I opened the box and pulled out one of the tea bags. It smelled pretty good, kind of sweet and fruity. I boiled some water in my kettle and poured it over the tea bag in my favorite mug.
I let it steep for a good five minutes, just like the instructions suggested. I like my tea strong! While I was waiting, I read a bit more about this tea on the box. Apparently, it’s made with Bai Mu Dan white tea leaves from China, which are air-dried to keep their sweetness. Sounds fancy, right?
After the five minutes were up, I removed the tea bag and took a sip. Honestly, it was pretty darn good! It had a gentle sweetness to it, and the pear flavor was definitely there, but it wasn’t overpowering. There was also a subtle hint of vanilla, which made it even more interesting.
It was a smooth, mellow flavor. Nothing too crazy or intense. I think this would be a good tea to drink in the afternoon or evening when you just want to relax. It’s not a super strong, caffeinated tea that’s going to keep you up all night.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with my little grocery store find. Celestial Seasonings White Pear Tea is definitely a winner in my book. I’ll probably buy another box when I run out. I only got a box of 20 tea bags this time, but next time I might get the bigger size. If you’re looking for a light, sweet, and flavorful tea, you should definitely give this one a try. You might just be surprised!
