Alright, let’s gab about this white tea and green tea, you know, the stuff them fancy folks drink. I ain’t no expert, but I’ve heard things, seen things. So, let’s figure out which one’s better, or if they’re both just…tea.
First off, what’s the big deal with white tea? Well, from what I gather, it’s kinda like they just pick the leaves and let ‘em dry in the sun, then maybe inside too. Ain’t much fussing around, which is why it stays all…white-ish. You know, like them pale chickens we used to have. Now, they say this not-fussing-around keeps all the good stuff in, makes it strong. Like good, strong coffee, but…tea.
They call those good things “anti-somethings,” anti-ox…anti-ox… whatever. Sounds like something you’d use to clean the barn, but they say it keeps you healthy. Keeps your insides from getting all rusty, I guess. And let me tell you, white tea is supposed to be LOADED with them anti-thingies. More than that green tea, so they say. And it don’t make you jittery, not too much caffeine.
Now, what about that green tea? That one’s been around the block, everyone knows about green tea. It’s like the town gossip – always in your ear. They say it’s healthy too, real healthy. Keeps you from getting sick, they say. And that anti-stuff, it’s got plenty of that too. Maybe not as much as the white tea, but enough to keep you ticking.
Green tea, now they do more to it than the white tea. They heat it up, roll it around, I don’t know the whole shebang. But that’s what makes it different, I guess. Different color, different taste. Some folks say it tastes like grass, some folks say it tastes good. Me? I think it tastes like…tea.
So, which one’s the best? Well, if you’re looking for the most of that anti-rusty stuff, and you don’t want to be bouncing off the walls, maybe white tea is your thing. It’s supposed to be good for your skin too, makes you look…less wrinkly. Though I reckon hard work and sunshine do more for a body than any fancy tea. But if you want something that’s been around a while, something everyone knows about, then green tea is fine too. It’s still good for you, keeps you healthy.
Someone told me that drinking a whole bunch of white tea, like eight cups a day, is alright. But you gotta watch out for that caffeine, even if it ain’t much, it adds up. And something about “floor-ride” building up in your bones? Sounded like hogwash to me, but I ain’t no doctor.
Here’s my take on it. Both teas are good, both will keep you…well, not dead, I guess. White tea might be a little fancier, a little stronger in the good-stuff department. Green tea is your old reliable, always there for you. Drink whichever one you like, whichever one you can afford, or whichever one the store has on sale. It ain’t the tea that makes you healthy, it’s living a good life, working hard, and eating your vegetables. And maybe a little bit of tea, white or green, doesn’t hurt none.
At the end of the day, it’s just tea. Don’t go fretting over it too much. There’s bigger things to worry about, like getting the crops in before the rain and making sure the chickens don’t get into the garden. Now that’s something worth worrying about.
So, drink your tea, enjoy it, and don’t let them fancy folks tell you otherwise. A cup of warm tea is a good thing, no matter what color it is or how they dried it.
