Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make my own perfume for a while, and I finally took the plunge! I decided to go with a white tea scent because it’s just so clean and refreshing. I’m calling this my “white tea perfume oil” experiment, and here’s how it went down.

Gathering My Supplies

First, I needed to get all my stuff together. I already had some essential oils, so I just needed a few more things. It was shopping time.

  • Carrier Oil:I grabbed some jojoba oil. Some folks used fractionated coconut oil, but I went with jojoba.
  • White Tea Fragrance Oil:Obviously, the star of the show! I found a good one online from a little shop, after read some reviews.
  • Other Essential Oils:I wanted to add a little something extra, so I got some bergamot and a tiny bit of jasmine.
  • Glass Roller Bottles: For storing and applying the perfume.I got these cute little amber ones.
  • Small Funnel: Made my life easier when pouring stuff into the bottles.
  • Dropper:For the essential oils cause I didnt want to mess things up.

The Mixing Process(The fun part!)

Alright, time to get down to business. I cleared off a space on my kitchen counter and laid everything out. I felt like a scientist, but I’m sure a real one does it way differently!

I started by adding the jojoba oil to the roller bottle. I filled it most of the way, leaving a little room at the top for the other oils.

Now for the fragrance oil. I put in white tea fragrance oil about 20 drops. I wanted it to be the main scent.

Then came the fun part – adding the extra essential oils. I added about 5 drops of bergamot because I love that citrusy *, just 2 drops of jasmine, because that stuff is STRONG, and I’m not a huge floral fan.

Shake It Up!

I put the roller ball and cap on the bottle and gave it a good shake, roll, and swish. I wanted to make sure everything was mixed up properly. It’s exciting!

The Waiting Game

I’ve read that you’re supposed to let perfume oils “rest” for a few days, or even weeks, so the scents can blend together. I’m not very good at waiting, but I managed to hold off for a whole three days before trying it out. It was so hard.

The Final Result

Okay, drumroll… I finally tried it, and I love it! It smells so fresh and clean, with just a hint of citrus and a tiny whisper of floral. It’s exactly what I was going for! The white tea is definitely the main scent, but the other oils give it a little extra something * it last for a while, and that’s important.

I’ve been wearing it every day since, and I’ve even gotten a few compliments. Success! I’m already planning my next perfume-making adventure. Maybe something with a little more spice next time? We’ll see!
