tea set
Today, I wanted to try something different, so I decided to mess around with white tea and sage. I’ve heard a lot about this combo. Some say it’s good for relaxation and can even help with period cramps and stuff. Sounds interesting, right?
First, I grabbed some white tea leaves and a bunch of fresh sage from my kitchen garden. I love the smells in my garden! The smell of the white tea was super mild, kinda like apples or hay. The sage, on the other hand, had this strong, earthy smell. It smells like a forest! They seemed like they’d go well together.
I boiled some water in my kettle and steeped the white tea leaves for a few minutes. I didn’t want to overdo it because I know white tea can get bitter if you leave it too long. While the tea was steeping, I took a few sage leaves and gently crushed them in my hands to release their oils. That makes the smell stronger!
Once the tea was ready, I poured it into a mug and added the crushed sage leaves. I stirred it all together and let it sit for a couple more minutes. The water started to take on a slightly greenish color. I like the color. I inhaled deeply, and the aroma was amazing. It was like a mix of a fresh garden and a cozy herbal tea shop. I felt so relaxed.
I took a sip, and the taste was really subtle and refreshing. The white tea had a delicate sweetness to it, and the sage added a nice, savory kick. It was a good balance. It was really calming, and I could totally see why people use this for relaxation. It was so good!
After finishing my tea, I decided to use the leftover sage and some dried white tea leaves to make a little sachet. I just put them in a small cloth bag and tied it up. I’ve placed it in my living room, and it makes the whole space smell wonderful. It’s like a natural air freshener!
Overall, my little experiment with white tea and sage turned out pretty good. It was a fun and easy way to create a relaxing atmosphere at home. Plus, I got to enjoy a delicious and calming cup of tea. If you’re looking for something simple and natural to help you unwind, I would say, give this a try!
