Okay, so lately I’ve been really diving deep into the whole tea thing, you know? Trying to figure out what’s what, and I got caught up on this white tea versus green tea debate. Figured I’d give both a shot and see what the fuss is about, and share my little experiment with you all.
First off, I went and grabbed some white tea and green tea. I wanted to make sure I was getting the real deal, so I found this specialty tea shop downtown. They had all these fancy names for teas, but I just asked for their basic white tea and green tea leaves.
When I got home, I started with the white tea. From what I read, white tea is, like, the baby version of tea or something. They pick the leaves super young, and it’s supposed to be less processed. So, I brewed a cup. This was kind of a tricky process since I learned that you are supposed to let the leaves dry in the sun and then indoors. I followed this procedure for both the white and green tea. The color was this pale, almost see-through, light yellow.
Next up, green tea. Everyone talks about green tea like it’s some kind of miracle drink, so I was hyped to try it. I brewed it just like the white tea, but the color was way different—a light green, obviously. I drank the green tea for a week as well.
So, after my little tea journey, here’s my take. White tea is like the subtle, chill one. I noticed that I slept better on the week I drank white tea and it is probably great if you want something super light. Green tea, on the other hand, feels more like a daily health boost. It made me feel more energized, focused, and calm. I have to say, I have more natural energy, and my skin looks a lot clearer and feels better.
Both were great, honestly. I also noticed that my skin had a nice glow, but I think that’s because of the white tea, since I’ve read that it is good for the skin. I’ve decided to mix both into my routine, with white tea in the morning to start the day and green tea after lunch.
If you’re into tea, I’d say give both a try. They’re different but in a good way. I’m no expert, just a guy who likes trying new things, but I thought it was a fun little experiment and wanted to share.
